Cavalier heater core is located in the middle of the dash, pretty much in line with the gear shifter and console. They arent hard to do, just awkward to get to. Then heater hoses can be difficult to get to, sometimes you have to jack the car up and access them from underneath.

I hate to say this but that sounds about right. You can't just yank the housing down to get it out. Half the bloody dash has to come out. SORRY for your loss. This is why people scrap their cars. The repairs start to cost more than the car is worth.Cavalier heater core?
Depending on where u go this should range from $150.00-$400.00 I would try a know mechanic that knows his stuff and or small mechanic's shop that would charge u wayyyyyy less.Its hard but not that xpensive.Shops charge by the hour and home based mechs.dont they charge by the job.Cavalier heater core?
the part costs 40 dollars at autozone. get another opinion on time. my sisters boyfriend put mine in my sunfire in about 4hrs
